Our Story

Benny Polisi

Executive Cook Besfort "Benny" Polisi opened Italian Garden in the spring of 2010, with a vision of creating McKinney's finest Italian dining experience. Trained at a very young age by his Grandmother back in his home country of Albania, Benny infuses every dish he creates with his extensive knowledge and passion for perfection. Benny started his career as the owner and cook at Benny's Pasta and Pizza in Leonard, Texas. Although he had an affinity for the Benny's Pasta and Pizza in Leonard, Benny decided to expand and open a finer dinner experience by introducing the very first Italian Garden in Bonham, Texas in the summer of 2006.

In that summer of 2006, Chef Benny began Italian Garden and soon led the area in fine, home cooked Italian dinning. This allowed him room to experiment, and created quite an eclectic menu. However, he never lost sight of his passion for fine Italian dining. He knew that in order to create the dishes he wanted to share with the world, using only the freshest ingredients available, he would have to grow his restaurant and reach more people. Benny thrives on the input of the costumer and is always improving his cooking talents to meet the needs and taste of the community.


Benny opened the doors of Italian Garden in the spring of 2010. Before he created his first dish, he vowed to only use the finest ingredients, and prepare each dish with an infusion of passion and creativity. Diners agree... Italian Garden is McKinney's best.


Italian Garden of McKinney is committed to serving only the finest foods, made with the freshest ingredients. Almost all of our dishes are made from scratch. Our inviting decor and professional servers create a memorable Italian dining experience.
